Well, that didn't take long. After signing off her E! talk show, Chelsea Lately, last month with a star-studded rendition of "We Are The World," Chelsea Handler will be back on television before you know it.
Sort of.
The comedian announced the first of five specials will start streaming on Netflix starting October 10. The first, Uganda Be Kidding Me, will be based on the best-selling book of the same name which documents her travels through the Dark Continent.
Handler also tweeted the official poster for the special, featuring her dog, Chunk, in a hilarious send-up of The Lion King. "My Netflix debut is Friday, October 10th. Come be with me. Lub you," she wrote.

The stand-up special will be followed by what have been dubbed four "docu-comedy specials," which will all lead up to her groundbreaking new Netflix talk show.
Handler was famously passed over to replace both David Letterman and Craig Ferguson on CBS earlier this year. She then decided that a streaming talk show on Netflix was the way to go. “I’m more excited than I’ve been in a while, and the team at Netflix is the most forward thinking, alert group I’ve sat down with in ages," Handler said at the time. "No offense to the Shahs of Sunset."
Handler's Netflix talk show is set to debut in 2016. Here's hoping she brings Chunk.
