Check Out Feiyue, The Coolest Sneakers You’re Not Wearing

As you may have noticed, we're all for using a chic sneaker to switch up our outfits as often as we can get away with it. While Feiyue (meaning "Flying Forward") shoes are already a household name for those of you in Europe and Asia, we got ahold of the brand's Spring 2012 lookbook to help give the US a proper introduction to these simple, easy kicks. The sneakers, which originated in Shanghai in the 1920s, have been used for decades in martial arts and other athletic practices (serious shoe stalkers might have spotted them in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games), but in 2006 Feiyue was brought to France and transformed into a more fashion-foward brand. Since the sneaks were already super comfortable and had a cool vintage vibe, all that was needed was some fresh, new colors and a few updated shapes—think high and mid-tops and a few different flat options to go with your ever-changing wardrobe. Time to get in step with the rest of the world: click through out slideshow to see some of the easy-chic styles from Feiyue's 2012 Spring Lookbook and, of course, you check them out online in case you're moved to make a purchase or four.
