We really loved the collaboration with Olympia Le Tan, and it got us thinking that Solange Azagury-Partridge could be another on-brand collab for you. Has she ever crossed your mind?
"It’s funny, you’re naming all the girls I love! I’m wearing Solange right now! Yes, I guess both of our brands have, well, I don’t want to use the word whimsical, but it's kind of that feminine approach. They're different and you feel like you actually step into our worlds when you see our designs — like you get into our heads somewhat, it's more than just the product. Because I think with accessories, it's hard to portray your collection and what it feels like because you don’t have a fashion show with models, makeup, hair, and music to really show you what the inspiration was about. I try to really portray this world, and that’s why I name the shoes to go with what the collections are about. Like my past collection they naturally had French names, my Brazilian collection had Brazilian names, my ‘Over the Moon’ collection had really obvious names, like Luna."
Who would be your dream person to collaborate with right now?
"It’s quite a random one I guess because it's not fashion, but I love Fornasetti. Again that’s a world, and I very much love furniture, interior design, and prints. He has this surrealistic element, yet it’s still luxurious. It's charming, and it's again surrealistic like Schiaparelli, whom I love. I guess it's the surrealistic side to things that I always like."
