After speculation that Emma Watson, Carey Mulligan, and Mia Wasikowska were frontrunners for the highly-coveted role of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, we've just found out that relative unknown actress Rooney Mara will be staring in the English language adaptation. David Fincher is set to direct and Daniel Craig is attached to star, so this is a huge deal for the New York City-born newcomer. You may be familiar with her name, as her family owns the Giants and her sister is Kate Mara, but we're pretty sure this casting coup means you'll be seeing much more of this Tattoo star's face well before the December 21, 2011 release date.
