And now we arrive at The Broken Record. Why do you love it so?
"Because it looks and feels like a dive bar, but it’s kind of not a dive bar! The barmen are super friendly. They’ve got four different
bourbons, wine, and my favorite beer, Devil’s Canyon, on tap. And this is very important: there’s a juice squeezer tucked behind the bar so they can
actually make margaritas the way I like them, with fresh-squeezed lime juice. Also, there are clouds painted on the walls of the eating area in back. The menu is always changing with the seasons, but I usually get the pulled-pork sandwich (or the soft-shell crab BLT if it’s in) and then retire to the
bar area for the aforementioned margaritas and — after a few drinks — rounds of pool. One of the best parts is, it feels like a very manly bar so you can
drag all your guy friends, and everyone’s happy."
