Hot on the heels of the launch of
CR Fashion Book,
her collaboration with MAC, her appointment as global fashion director for Harper's Bazaar, and a continued high-profile presence in the international party circuit, there are rumors floating about that Carine Roitfeld is working on her own signature scent. Now, now, now — before you get your hopes too high in the air, this is just scuttlebutt, and could turn out to be just optimistic rumor-mongering from the New York Post (a paper with what could be called a fairly loose grip on the truth). Thing is, though, we totally buy this (and would totally buy the resulting perfume). It fits Roitfeld's post Vogue Paris trajectory perfectly — a path that's taken her from influential editor to even more influential fashion power hub.
