Here's What Your Love Life Looks Like This Month

comments
Be still thy beating heart! September is off to an auspicious start as cosmic lovebirds Venus and Mars make an exact connection on the 1st. What we want and need becomes even clearer after the 6th, when Venus snaps out of a five-week retrograde. Keep it PG though, people. Stern Saturn trudges through sexy Scorpio until the 17th, putting our naughtier natures on ice. With two eclipses this September — on the 13th and 27th — there will be lots of surprises in store. Secret crushes may be revealed, and our own hidden desires will come to light. Romance gets epic on the 23rd, when the sun heads into Libra for a month. Bring on the red roses, promise rings, and teary-eyed declarations of love. But, make sure you’re sure before you get down on bended knee or fire off a sexy Snapchat, because Mercury is retrograde from September 17 until October 9, causing signals to scramble.

Cancer Love Forecast

Lighten up, Cancer! Serious relationships don’t have to feel all weighty and intense. With planets touring your flirty, fun-loving third house in August, you need more playdates. Hop in the car for a couple’s road trip or weekend getaway before the 23rd. If you’re single, the solar eclipse on the 13th could bring some romantic surprises. Someone from the friend zone might profess deeper feelings, or you could find love with a friend-with-benefits type. On the 17th, somber Saturn leaves your love house (until 2031, amen!) restoring your sense of humor about Cupid’s whole game. Laugh off the ridiculous lovers’ quarrel or the lame blind date, and keep it moving. After the 23rd, you’ll be in the mood to nest. Cook dinner for your sweetie or start shopping around for a shared abode. With a second eclipse on the 27th, you could meet a love interest through a work event or get things going with your office crush.

Your Beauty Forecast: Going Green
To get the look, use a flat nylon brush to press khaki-green eyeshadow over your entire lid for extra color payoff. Then, drag the color along your lower lashline. Switch to a soft, tapered brush, and blend the shadow through your crease for a soft, blurred edge. Next, apply a sparkly gold shadow or liner to just the inner corner of your eye for an extra pop of sparkle. Frame your eye with black eyeliner along the waterline, and define both the upper and lower lashes with a healthy coat of mascara. Use a pencil to fill in your brows, and then brush them up with brow gel for an even fuller look. Swirl bronze blush over the apples of your cheeks, and finish with a red lip stain.
