Tuxedo in Chief: WWD’s Inauguration Suit Sketches

obama_1215a
Call us lowbrow, but for us, a tux is a tux—the man makes the clothes. When the man in question is Barack Obama, however, the imaginations of designers go into full drive It's of little surprise then, that even though Sen. Obama has picked out his tux for the Inauguration ceremony (36 days and counting), WWD has released a collection of designer sketches for the big guy's penguin suit. Tim Hamilton goes comfy casual. Hilfiger whips up a power suit. Rag & Bone takes us to the '50s. Nautica goes straight up Jack Kennedy and Sean "P Diddy" Combs rather unfortunately channels James Bond. It's all fun, and it's all irrelevant. Hart Schaffner Marx, a lesser known clothier from Chicago, already has the President Elect's vote. If you could suit up the O-man, what would be your choice?
