Perfect Outfit: An Effortless Summer Look From An S.F. Blogging Babe!

It could be our local bias kicking in, but S.F. blogging babes continually blow our minds with their next-level ensembles. So, we've got to hand it to our own Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam for inspiring some major spring-outfit envy with her latest turn.
We happen to think that this punchy getup is genius, but more importantly, it's easy to DIY in a snap! To recreate the look, we suggest adding a neutral top and a funky spring scarf. Throw in some wedge sandals, and consider yourself perfectly primed for an S.F. adventure (and by adventure, we mean endless backyard BBQs and patio happy hours, natch).

Essential #1: Bright Skirt — It's finally time to bust out those flirty bottoms — and the bolder, the better. This is the anchor item that pulls together this entire ensemble, so make sure you've chosen a real scene-stealer. We love Julia's ace coral pick.
Topshop Fluro Orange Lace Pelmet Skirt, $80, available at Topshop.
Essential #2: Textured Sweater — Let's not get too ahead of ourselves; this is still S.F., after all, and a light (and lightly textured) sweater adds the perfect hybrid of cozy and chic. You'll be glad you reached for it once the fog starts to swallow the city.
Stephan Schneider Shake Pullover, $282, available at La Garconne.
Essential #3: Printed Scarf — We're huge fans of a summer scarf, and especially one with a funky print. Lighten up your 'fit with a brilliantly patterned accessory like this Scotch & Soda one. We're in love!
Scotch & Soda Super Light Soft And Summer Scarf, $39, available at Scotch & Soda.
Essential #4: Wedge Sandal — Striking a balance between boho-beachwear and warm-weather sophistication, the wedge is the ultimate stepper to give your look a dose of dressy without feeling stuffy. Dolores Park, we're coming for you!
Marais USA Woven Wedge, $140, available at Urban Outfitters.

Essential #5: Nude Lipstick — If you ask us, a look is never 100% complete without a swipe of lipstick. So, following Julia's cue, we chose a light shade of lip color that compliments this sartorial spring mashup.
Rimmel London Kate Lipstick, $5.82, available at ASOS.
