We're the first to admit that bright nail colors can be tricky to wear. The secret to making them look classy and not trashy is all in the shape and length of the nail. "I prefer a short nail when doing bright colors," says Torello. "I think when they are long and bright it becomes something else. A short, bright nail can be fun, but also chic. When shaping the nail I find following the natural shape of your nail is always a good guide. Be sure to use a base coat as bright polishes can stain your nails."
