Brand New Vintage: Alison Lewis' "Lewis" Comes into Bloom

By: Gabriel Bell

As we promised, we have the first look at former Mooka Kinney designer Alison Lewis' first collection of darling dresses. As one might expect, the line, "Lewis," is much in the Mooka-Kinney mold—sweet vintage-style numbers with floral patterns seemingly created for a stroll through a midsummer garden (or Cobble Hill, whichever.) Particularly, her high-waisted shorts show a little bit of 1940s refinement and a healthy dollop of sex appeal. True to her course, Lewis has also picked out a number of alluring silks, cottons, and other fabrics—that textured black cloth on her half-length dress is quite a find. We look forward to seeing these buds blossom on the streets come next spring.
