"Nothing is more festive during the holiday season than a bright bow tie, especially in winter fabrics like wool or cashmere. I did the ol' sneaky triple plaid thing — styling the bow tie with a flannel shirt and tuxedo jacket in varying shades of hunter green, while decreasing the formal factor by adding a worn-in pair of A.P.C.s.
