L.A.’s Best New BBQ Spot Is Straight Outta Compton

If you're the foodie type who prefers a meaty, protein-packed plate over a measly salad, we've discovered your idea of heaven. Opening this week in the former Tar Pit location on La Brea Avenue, Compton's own Bludso's BBQ has joined forces with the folks of Golden State for its second location. And, for those who have made the trek down to the original outpost, that means no more Jedi GPS tactics for avoiding freeway traffic for Kevin Bludso's famous brisket.
Of course, the pork ribs and other favorites will be featured on the menu, but don't think this is just Bludso's 2.0 — the GS team is bringing some zest to the table, as well, with an incredible red velvet cake dessert and top-notch sides. Oh, and did we mention the La Brea location comes with a full bar and TV screens for catching the big game? Now, if only the Lakers were as good as that cornbread.
