Spotted on the set of Gossip Girl, Blake Lively (okay, Serena, technically), was committing a once thought-to-be fashion no-no. But, of course—as one too many episodes of Gossip Girl has proved—rules are made to be broken. Mixing a femme floral skirt by Porter Grey and a striped Shipley & Halmos tank, Lively took to the set with a commendable combination, proving that there's no reason to play it safe with solids. Walking tall in sky-high nude sandals, Lively mixed similar tones for a fully pattered ensemble and with a hint (okay, a BIG hint) of bling courtesy of the large pavé flower ring by M.L.C. by Matthew Campbell Laurenza. Another piece of style inspiration from the Gossip Girl queen bee. We wouldn't expect less from Lagerfeld's bestie.
