We're crazy in love with Beyoncé. Always have been, always will be. And trust B to turn her big pregnancy announcement into a media bonanza, rubbing her belly at the MTV Video Music Awards to the sounds of living rooms cheering all across America.
Now she's sharing her baby joy with Harper's Bazaar . The November 2011 cover star models Reed Krakoff, Salvatore Ferragamo, and YSL in a high-impact, big-haired portfolio, shot by Terry Richardson. In the story, Knowles dishes on everything from motherhood to, duh, Jay-Z. Not everyone is sharing her glow, though. The Daily Mail UK is reporting on bloggers accusing Beyoncé of faking her baby bump, referencing an interview she gave on Australian TV where it appears that her bump is being squished when she sits down. While haters hate, check out her interview with Bazaar below.
On pregnancy: "It was important to me that I gave myself time to focus on becoming the woman I want to be, building my empire, my relationship, and my self-worth, before I became a mother,” she says. “Now God has blessed us with the ultimate.”
On Jay-Z: "We have been together since I was 20 years old. We took our time and developed an unbreakable friendship before we got married...To me, Jay represents the American dream. Jay’s music has helped define our generation. All that he has overcome and worked to achieve gives millions hope that they can become whatever they want to be."
On marriage: "But like anything great and successful in your life, marriage takes hard work and sacrifice. It has to be something both you and your husband deeply want. The best thing about marriage is the amount of growth you have because you can no longer hide from your fears and insecurities."
On her career: " “I am finally at the stage in my life where I am not so concerned with other people’s opinions about my life decisions...It is so liberating to really know what I want, what truly makes me happy, what I will not tolerate. I have learned that it is no one else’s job to take care of me but me.”
On her fashion inspirations: "I love Kate Moss. I think she has great style. And I always admire Victoria Beckham and Gisele [Bündchen]. Their style is modern but always classic.”
