How To Disguise Gym Clothes As Normal Clothes

One look at the recent Fashion Month street-style snaps, and there's no denying that athletic garb still reigns supreme. From old-school sneakers bringing tomboy 'tude to femme skirts, to conspicuous logos adorning everything in between, it's like Sporty Spice is the style set's new spirit animal. But, there is a difference between the high-performance items you'd wear to a boot-camp class and the athletic-inspired styles you'd don to dinner with friends — or is there?
With sports bras getting strappier (a far cry from their high school P.E. class predecessors), sneakers getting funkier (in practically every color and pattern under the sun), and cover-up pieces getting sleeker (masking their true sweat-wicking functionality with a fashionable facade), you can now easily transition your gym duds into an all-day ensemble with the addition of just a few key styles.
So, we curated six workout outfits for six kick-ass (literally) fitness classes in Chicago using pieces from lululemon — all of which are as apt for getting your sweat on as they are for hitting the town. And, because there's no better way to reward hard work than with a cold drink and some grub, we did the extra legwork and found a hot spot near each of the studios to sport your exercise ensemble's street-friendly version. Now, this is the kind of cool-down we can get behind.
