Nestled in the Inner Sunset, Yellow Submarine is a no-frills, unsuspecting dining destination that serves its sammy up simple. Meat, mayo, hot sauce, and veggies are just about all you’re getting at this joint. But, man, that’s all you need. The steak, mayo, pepper, and hot-sauce sub is a fave of ours and it comes as no surprise that this haven has been a neighborhood must-hit for over 35 years. The Boston-style subs are made right in front of you by a family of hard-working hoagie connoisseurs. If you’re in the mood for a spot that’s all about the grub, this is it.
