So there this movie in theaters right now, featuring a bajillion celebrities, which is hoping to be the definitive New Year's Eve movie. And it's very cleverly titled New Year's Eve (of course). But heaps of cameos and the half-baked "anything is possible" romanticism are poor stand-ins for great scripts, hot chemistry, and classic lip-smacking NYE moments.

So, while the pressure is on to pucker up something serious, sometime around midnight, tonight, we reflect on our top five favorite New Year's Eve kisses, from the movies. Fortunately, not every one is a magical, perfectly crafted moment (though one definitely is), reminding us that an epic New Year's — for most of us anyway — can sometimes be more easily found on the silver screen than real life.
