The Marquis, on the other hand, is where the Billboard chart-toppers (anyone from Dave Matthews to Iggy Pop) go to kick it incognito. Tucked away from tourists, this rooted-in-rock hotel is a safe haven for edgy superstars and those who prefer their spirits served with some discretion. And, even if celeb-centric clientele isn't your thing, the dark décor and camoflaged location are worth the coin alone. Throw back a “Billyburg” (whiskey and pickle juice) at Bar 1200 and watch the musicians (rock ‘n’) roll in.
