Bergdorf Jeweler’s Stylishly Affordable African Bead Necklaces

brian-crumley-jewelry-urban
You may know Brian Crumley for his beautiful strings of metal-and-chain, glass baubles, and necklaces made out of vintage silk scarves, sold at Bergdorf's to the ladies who lunch. But for those who have a little less change rattling around in their pockets, get psyched for Crumley's new diffusion line for Urban Outfitters, GUAM. Developed in collaboration with MADE Fair Trade Jewelry, it stands for Global United Artisan Movement, and also happens to be the place where Crumley himself was born. The funky, colorful gold chain and bead necklaces are all created from sustainable materials in Kenya by local artisans. So not only can you add a high dose of color to that cut-out bikini or chambray shirt, but you'll feel good knowing that you're helping out local businesses and people in Africa. Not to mention—it's considerably cheaper than Crumley's namesake line. Double bonus!
