D.C.-based production duo Benoit & Sergio have been making waves in the dance world since 2009's What I've Lost, and the group's just-released New Ships EP is full of wide-screen house that sails toward even more buoyant shores.
"Lipstick and Lace" builds from spare synths and breathy vocals toward a can't-help-it-but-dance finish, while the title track spins an emotional take on house that's also a career highlight. "Not In Your Nature," on the other hand, hits a lounge-y groove that would be the perfect soundtrack to after-hours drinks.
