I've always wanted to pack my car for the weekend and ride out for hours with Sin City being as good a destination as any — especially for my birthday. On the itinerary, we have afternoons spent sipping cocktails poolside, shopping too much (god bless outlets!), and seeing amazing shows. My excitement level is through the roof, which means I'm planning my outfits — and the makeup looks to match — now. See what I'm packing for my weekend getaway, ahead.
For the long drive out to Las Vegas, I'm all about stylish comfort. Just because you're going to be in a car, doesn't mean you have to look schleppy. I obviously plan on taking some on-the-road selfies (I am a blogger after all), so for my traveling outfit I'm wearing boyfriend jeans. My current favorite is this pair by AG. I'm topping it off with a print tee — my uniform for my off-duty days.
And because you will never (and I mean never) find me without something on my lips, I'm finishing the look with a neutral peachy lipstick. Since the climate I'm driving into couldn't be dryer, I'm packing my Revlon Super Lustrous™ Shine Lipstick in Honey Bare. Unlike many lipsticks, this one has a moisturizing formula that won't dry out my lips — even in the desert air.
Revlon Super Lustrous™ Shine Lipstick in Honey Bare, $6.99, available at Revlon; AG Boyfriend Jeans, $215, available at ShopBop; Sincerely Jules Celfie Tee, $39, available at sincerelyjules.com; Converse Chuck Taylors, $50, available at Converse; Current/Elliot Infantry Jacket, $466, available at Jades 24.
A night out in Vegas for birthday festivities calls for a mini dress and some fancy footwear, don't you think? I recently scooped up my dream shoes from Bergdorf Goodman while on a trip to NYC and knew they would go with everything. So, I'm packing these studded babies for an evening of shows, cocktails, and of course dancing. For the dress, I’m going with this printed Clover Canyon frock. I always love to throw on a fitted blazer on top of a dress as a great alternative to a full jacket. It gives another layer and some structure to my look. But, the show-stopper here is a berry lip. I'm loving Revlon's Super Lustrous™ Shine Lipstick in Berry Couture as a great alternative to the classic red. It’s still sexy for an evening look and perfectly on trend for fall.
