Your New Skin Care Routine For Flawless Skin

Web1
One of the things I love about beauty is that there isn't a one-size-fits-all standard. Everyone has their own skin care ritual with a product cocktail that works just for them. But, I found that the quest for flawless skin is more of a journey than a conquerable feat.
So, while I may have a set routine, I'm also always keeping an eye open for the latest, greatest skin care solve to add to the mix. If you're anything like me (and for sport, I'm going to go ahead and assume that you are), I'm sharing my current skin care ritual here. Take a gander — you might find the newest addition to your medicine cabinet.

Before bed
About once a week, I exfoliate with a Neutrogena Wave Vibrating Cleanser with just soap and water before the rest of my nightly process. I'm always surprised at what a difference it makes in my skin texture the next morning. Then I swipe my face with a soaked cotton ball of homemade toner made from Bragg's organic apple cider vinegar and water. I'm gung-ho about natural products, so any time I can make my own skin care, I do.
Next, I treat my under-eye area, forehead, and some scarring on my chin with Kiehl's Açai Damage-Repairing Serum, followed by two pumps of Clarins Double Serum applied all over my neck and face. Lastly, just three drops of Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate mixed with a few drops of water on my fingertips, and then its leftovers get rubbed into my always-dry hands.
On super-late nights when completing the entire routine just isn't realistic, I always keep Simple Radiance Cleansing Wipes and my Kiehl's moisturizer in my nightstand drawer.
Kiehl's Açai Damage-Repairing Serum, $49, available at Kiehl's; Clarins Double Serum, $85, available at Clarins; Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate, $46, available at Kiehl's.

In the morning
After a quick rinse with water, I use my apple cider vinegar toner again, followed by the most important step: sunscreen. I usually mix Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer Broad SPF 30 on my fingertips with either one of two foundations: CoverGirl + Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation or MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, depending on the desired amount of coverage (the latter provides quite a bit more).
For my prominent dark circles, I dab on a little bit of Origins Ginzeng Refreshing Eye Cream to provide a base for my concealer. I love that it contains light-reflecting pigments to help brighten up the area that needs some extra help. Lastly, I set everything with my Bare Escentuals BareMinerals Bronzing Mineral Veil SPF 25 using a big kabuki brush — this is the finishing touch that gives me a great base for my makeup.
Origins Ginzeng Refreshing Eye Cream, $30, available at Origins; Radiant Blush Brush, $18, available at Radiant; CoverGirl + Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation, $11.69, available at Target; Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer Broad SPF 30, $16.99, available at Aveeno.

Before a shoot:
Line-reducing Frownies between my eyebrows and Dr. Jart+ Pore Penetrator on my nose are both non-negotiables on the night before a photo shoot or special occasion — even the slightest reduction of wrinkles or clogged pores makes it totally worth the extra step.
When I'm on a shoot:
Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens and Jane Iredale Pommist Hydration Spray are both great to carry with me when I'm in the city or at a photo-shoot all day.
When a pimple sprouts up:
A quick dab of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil is my longstanding blemish-fighter of choice.
