As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a slacker when it comes to styling my hair. That means I’ve become an expert at executing sneaky ways to look put together without spending more than 60 seconds on my strands. This skill is especially handy during the summer months when so many factors can screw up your hairstyle — the beach, humidity, sporadic rainstorms, I can go on. While there are a ton of products out there to help keep your style in check, like these anti-frizz creams, there are times when you just don't want to bother with your mop at all.
For those lazy days, enter the turban headband.
Just slip one on and it’ll draw attention away from any hair issues you might have, like crazy frizz, roots, or tangles. Plus, they're great for any hair length and texture. I like to wear turbans when my hair is up in a bun, and I usually pair mine with a bright lipstick and shades — makes me feel so chic.
Solid-colored turbans are a no-brainer, but lately I’ve been gravitating toward ones with interesting details, like lace fabric or a colorful print. If you wear a lot of simple clothing like I do, it’s nice to add a splashy accessory to spice things up. And like I said, the more eye-catching your turban, the less people will notice what’s tucked underneath. So go ahead, test out my little theory for yourself. I’ve picked four cute bands to get you started.
