A Fragrance For Your Mane That's Actually Worth It

Remember when Petra Ecclestone, daughter of billionaire and Formula 1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone, purchased Candy Spelling’s insane $85-million Los Angeles digs back in 2011? Well, there’s another Ecclestone daughter with globs of dough and her name is Tamara. Clearly, the British model, socialite, and television personality isn’t hard up for cash, but that didn’t stop the 29-year-old from starting her own hair care line called SHOW Beauty, which hit Bergdorf Goodman in October.
Now, before there’s a collective eye roll at the idea of yet another wealthy socialite starting a beauty line, I report that this brand is awesome. Yes, the cynic that normally shies away from any sort of socialite/celebrity business endeavor was impressed. The 11-piece collection includes a variety of volumizing, thickening, and finishing sprays, lotions, and mists, but the hero product is the Decadence Hair Fragrance.
Traditionally, I hate all hair fragrances because the high alcohol content leaves my strands dry and brittle. Plus, in addition to the parched hair, my hair still smells like the party from the night before anyway. And, truth be told, is hair fragrances really necessary? Turns out they are when you're in Marina, California for a wedding and a beach bonfire at the end of the night sounds like a good idea — until you realize you smell like 135-pounds of smoked hickory.
I wanted to preserve my fresh blowout, so I spritzed a bit of the Decadent hair fragrance, which thoroughly masked my BBQ scent without stripping away any moisture. The added bonus was my boyfriend’s seal of approval. Plus, the slick studded bottles probably make this the sexiest hair care line on the market. But, over-the-top is to be expected from an Ecclestone.
