3 Luxe Spas Worth Splurging On

comments

Superhero products are great, but sometimes you need to call in the professionals — especially when you're on vacay. I love a good spa so much that I'll stay home and eat Chef Boyardee all week if it means I can spend my saved shekels on a luxe facial. I appreciate the clinical-level chemical peels and steams that I can't do at home, which is why I've scouted out the three spas that I think are totally worth eating out of a can for.

Some things in life are worth the splurge, and if you’ve got some extra cash burning a hole in your pocket, summer is a fine time to spend it. So, if you find yourself in one of these cities this summer, make sure to make a pit stop at these luxe spas.

Web1The Spa: Cowshed at Soho Beach House
The City: Miami
The Treatment: Morning After Facial

Some facials leave your skin red and inflamed, forcing you to go into hiding for the weekend — but not this one. I die for Cowshed’s Morning After Facial. The last thing I want to do afterwards was go home — I wanted to be seen. The treatment is extraction-free and uses only Cowshed products, which are eco-conscious. I stepped out looking like the best version of myself. The last product they used was a coating of sunscreen, which was the perfect launch pad for me to go to the beach. Oh yeah, and the spa is steps away from their beachfront club that's fully stocked with tasseled umbrellas, cocktails, and my favorite kale salad.

Web2The Spa: Nordic Spa at The Grand Hotel
The City: Stockholm
The Treatment: Arctic Detox

The Grand Hotel is Stockholm’s most luxurious hotel, and their spa doesn't disappoint. With multiple saunas, a fireplace, and three dipping pools, I was in heaven. Their products are locally sourced from Nordic nature. And I especially love their raw salad and green juice station upstairs. But, when I signed up for their signature treatment I didn’t know what I was getting into.

If you're prone to claustrophobia, overheating, and are averse to experiencing two hours of pinching pain, you should sit this one out. But, if you want to reduce bloating and muscle fatigue, while promoting circulation, then the Arctic Detox is perfect for you. It helps eliminate toxins from your fascia, which is the connective tissue surrounding your muscles.

After two hours, I was certain I would walk out black and blue, but to my surprise, I felt amazing. My muscles stretched easier after my run the next day and my energy level was notably increased. It's a perfect treatment to rid your body of toxins after a juice cleanse.

Web3The Spa: My Blends by Clarins at the Royal Monceau
The City: Paris
The Treatment: Tailored Clarins Facial

After walking into the Royal Monceau, you may never want to leave. The hotel is a stunner, even by Parisian standards. The spa’s pool is tucked away into a sweeping white room adorned with mirrors. I’m a major Clarins fan, so an entire Clarins spa is awesome. The therapist concocts a personalized treatment plan for your skin's needs once you answer questions about your skin, diet, allergies, and travel schedule. I walked out relaxed and refreshed with no signs of the fatigue I was suffering from.
