Pull out your flapper gear and start practicing the Charleston — it’s time to pay homage to one of our all-time favorite eras: the '20s. Bar Noir at Maison 140 (founded by silent film star Lillian Gish) is transforming into a legit speakeasy. From the décor to the menu, Bar Noir is channeling the Jazz Age all month long, and its classic drink list is thematically on point. Drinks range from the "Southside," which has its roots in underground gin making, to a sassy-sweet honey-laced concoction named “Bee’s Knees,” and everything’s served in historically accurate teapots.

If the modern world is feeling a little much, or if you just want to kick it back old school, make your next drinks date at the Bar Noir Speakeasy. The Eighteenth Amendment might not be in effect anymore, but that doesn’t mean we can’t down a drink like the lads and lasses of the Prohibition era.
