Are Monthly Periods The Reason Women Get Paid Less Than Men? This Dude Thinks So

Oh, joy. Another man talking about menstrual cycles. We’re getting cramps just thinking about Alasdair Thompson, the head of the Employers and Manufacturers Association in New Zealand, who really put his foot in it when he announced that Aunt Flo’s visits were the reason women got paid 12 percent less than men, on radio show NewsTalk ZB. Despite the outrage directed at him, it pains us to say that this man’s still keeping his job and, more importantly, will never know what PMS feels like. And we were hoping the news that skinny chicks get paid an average of $22,000 more than heavier ones was the most traumatizing thing we’d hear on the pay inequality front this month… (NewsTalkZB.co.nz)
