How did you get into the sport?
"I grew up in Las Vegas and was always swimming. I did dance and gymnastics, but once I found synchro, I thought it was so unique and fun, so that's what I stuck with. I auditioned for Aqualillies when I moved to L.A. to pursue a career in acting."
What inspires you?
"Esther Williams and Old Hollywood movie stars. I'm also inspired by female athletes and women who fight to make their dreams happen."
What's your favorite swimwear brand and why?
"I'm in love with Jantzen, because you can't go wrong with a classic look, and they last forever. Also, it's one of Sterling Cooper Draper Prices' clients on Mad Men... What's cooler than that?"
What do you think about when underwater?
"I think about giving back to the crowd and living in the moment. I put all my energy in my swim and keep a smile on my face. I try to spot someone in the crowd and make their day."
What's your funniest Lilly moment?
"Oh, it has to be when we were showering in between takes with the Glee cast — we were all clothed of course, ha!"
How do you keep your hair hydrated?
"I use Ultra Swim as my shampoo to get the chlorine out and Organix for my conditioner."
Describe your outside-of-the-pool style.
"Modern vintage, retro glamour."
What's the mantra you live by?
"Cannonball or swan dive, life is too short to worry about getting your hair wet."
