Architectural Artifacts
Chances are, you’ve been to this museum-like warehouse for a wedding and
became captivated by its incredible merchandise. As the name suggests, these
curiosities are so much more than just antiques. From furniture and lighting to
French Fer Forgé and religious statues, all of the pieces are literally rescued and
restored artifacts brought back to their glory days (as best as possible) for your
enjoyment. The amazing inventory is spread over 80,000-square-feet on five
levels. For a cool $350,000, you can own a piece of Chicago history — a pair of
elevator doors from the Adler & Sullivan Chicago Stock Exchange building, which dates
back to 1893.
Architectural Artifacts, 4325 North Ravenswood (between Cullom and Montrose
Avenues); 773-348-0622.
