Anna Wintour Awarded Honor For Supporting Gay Rights

Presented with an Ally for Equality award from the Human Rights Campaign (an honor given to a non-LGBT person for their work promoting gay rights), Anna has been recognized for her "outspoken" support of the community. Remember back in May when she starred in a series of "New Yorkers for Marriage Equality" videos produced by the HRC (if not, see below)? Anna has also been an active champion for HIV/AIDs research, a participant of the It Gets Better Campaign, and a mentor and patron of LGBT designers, writers, photographers, and more via her work at Vogue.
Says HRC President Joe Solmonese, “We recognize Anna Wintour for her grace, dignity, style, philanthropy, and generosity. Hear, hear! Anna will be given the award on February 4 at a gala dinner hosted by Glee creator Ryan Murphy.
