Tell us about your design background and how you got started?
"I came to San Francisco six years ago to study fashion design at the Academy of Art University. Growing up with a mother who was constantly sewing, I was always intrigued by textiles. It was when I started school that I realized I was drawn to all facets of design. I loved learning tailoring and pattern making, but I also tapped into industrial design, which gave me an introduction to working with other materials. Whether constructing a garment, a piece of furniture, or jewelry — I enjoy all aspects and the concept of building an idea from scratch."
