These Celebrities Love Ikea Just As Much As You Do

If you were to take all the Ikea furniture out of our homes, the space would be pretty empty. The Swedish megastore has been an important fixture in our lives for as long as we can remember, allowing us to decorate our apartments like an adult without breaking the budget.

As it turns out, Ikea's appeal extends far beyond us ordinary folks: Over the years, many celebrities have also professed their love for the brand. Some of the biggest names in pop culture have been spotted on Ikea runs. In some cases, they've given shoutouts to the brand in interviews, or are even gunning for a homeware collab.

Ahead is a comprehensive list of famous Ikea enthusiasts — who knows? You might run into one of them on your next hunt for Kallax shelves.

Jennifer Lawrence

The Oscar-winning actress is a big fan of bargains, and Ikea fits the bill perfectly. In an interview with The Telegraph, Lawrence mentioned that she went straight to Ikea after seeing how expensive couches at designer furniture stores were. “It doesn’t matter how much money I make, unfairness in prices really fires me up," she says in the interview. Hear, hear!

Kanye West

Kanye West wants to work with Ikea, and he wants the world to know it. Back in February 2016, the rapper tweeted about his visit to the brand's Swedish HQ and hinted that "my mind is racing with the possibilities…"

Ye then went a step further in a subsequent radio interview with the BBC. “I have to work with Ikea – make furniture for interior design, for architecture,” he says. “Yo Ikea, allow Kanye to create, allow him to make this thing because you know what, I want a bed that he makes, I want a chair that he makes.” The brand gamely responded with a sketch of a "Yeezy" bed, comprised of three interconnected beds that curiously resembles the one seen in his music video for "Famous". Fingers crossed these will stop joking around and actually work on a sell-out collection together one day.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus may be a multi-millionaire, but the singer still loves Ikea furniture: According to Glamour, the lighting fixtures from her glam, $2.525-million bungalow features two light pendants from Ikea's PS line. The price tag on these lights? $89.95. The star has also been seen at Ikea's Burbank location.

Anna Kendrick

The paparazzi has caught the Pitch Perfect actress stocking up on linens, rugs, and other household basics at L.A.'s Ikea. It was Kendrick's go-to store even after her rise to fame: In an interview with InStyle U.K., she talked about shopping for plastic containers for her garage makeover at Ikea — and hiding behind the shelves so other patrons can't recognize her.

Ryan Reynolds

Figuring out how to put together Ikea furniture is something all of us struggle with — even Ryan Reynolds. The A-lister, husband to Blake Lively, and father to two young daughters did a hilarious short video for GQ, where he attempted — and failed — to assemble the Hensvik crib.
