I Did 5 Days Of The Internet's Most Extra Halloween Makeup — & Here Are The Results

Halloween is most makeup lovers' favorite holiday. Even for a relative beauty novice like me, the possibilities feel endless. From spooky skull-shaped products to pop culture-inspired looks so unsettlingly good we can't believe they're real, it's hard to choose just one persona for the big night. And, really, why shouldn't you get to go out as Arya Stark and Eleven all in the same year?

I got to live every Halloween superfan's dream for five days by experimenting with five of the most extravagantly gorgeous costume makeup looks I could find on YouTube. Following tutorials from the incredibly talented pros ahead, I transformed myself into a pop art character, a creepy skeleton, a unicorn, a classic black cat, and a mermaid. Trust me: Whether you're simply bored at home or planning an epic holiday bash, you won't be able to resist trying your hand at one or two (if a non-pro like me can pull it off, so can you). Honestly, that skeleton is still giving me chills.

Click ahead to catch all five of the sometimes adorable, sometimes terrifying beauty looks I copied and find out how to do them yourself for the 31st.
