The Absolute Sexiest Movies On Netflix

Is there anything more fascinating than the endless contortions of the human heart — and the human body? Probably not, since most movies, books, and pop music revolve around the same topic. Who we love, who we want, who loves us, and who wants us are four of the most essential questions of life.

We culled the best of Netflix's "Steamy" category for your (viewing) pleasure. Each of the movies on this list does a particularly good job of addressing this subject of fascination, also known as the bedroom. From suburban couples in Sydney to a sexual rivalry in 16th-century India, these movies offer a kaleidoscopic approach to the same topic when taken together.

So someone call the fire department, because these movies are smokin’ hot. And not only are they smokin’ hot, but they’re streamable. Yep, it looks like your Friday night in just got a whole lot sexier.

Rezeta (2012)

Rezeta follows the boy-meets-girl format of a romantic comedy, but its freewheeling nature sets it apat from other films in the genre. The filmmaker, Fernando Frias, cast non-professional actors in roles based on themselves. Then, he wrote and rewrote the script based on the leads' input.

Rezeta (Rezeta Viliu) has just moved from Albania to Mexico City to work as a model. After some fast living, she meets Alex (Roger Medoza), a punk rocker, with whom she starts a relationship. Given the unconventional moviemaking behind Rezeta, it's no surprise the film's erotic moment feel so real.

Adore (2013)

They live in beautiful houses on the Sydney coast, and have sons at the same time. Soon, those sons grow up into strapping young men, gods of the surf. Well, soon each begins an affair with the other's son. The lush drama challenges conventions of family, love, and what's considered "acceptable" to an insanely satisfying degree.
Sex and Lucia (2001)

This Spanish drama knows quite a bit about the complexities of interpersonal relationships. Lucia, the protagonist of the film, escapes to the Balearic Islands (Ibiza, baby!) after breaking up with her longtime boyfriend. It’s in this Mediterranean paradise that Lucia has the time to piece together the dark depths of her former relationship. While drenched in erotic and sexual energy (and scenes), Sex and Lucia is, at its heart, quite a dark drama with a complicated plot.
Bang Gang: A Modern Love Story (2015)

Basic chemistry of the teenage years states that if you put enough kids in a boring town, some crazy stuff is going to happen — especially if those kids live in France. Alex, a teenager, is living with his best friend while his mother is in Morocco for nine months. To whittle away the time, Alex organizes sex parties — as one does. Kama Sutra: A Tale Of Love (1998)

Blue Is The Warmest Color (2013)

This award-winning film made a name for itself with its naturalistic portrayal of young love and its 15-minute sex scenes. In fact, it's so seriously steamy that it garnered a rating of NC-17.

In the film, French teenager Adele's life is forever changed after she meets Emma, a woman with blue hair, and the two begin a torrid affair. Track each step of the rise, plateau, and fall of a young romance. Weep for the love that can only exist before the 20s.
The Little Death (2014)

Anyone familiar with the French word for orgasm (la petit morte) knows that this film is referencing one thing and one thing only: sex. This risque comedy peers into the sex lives of five couples in suburban Sydney, because who said sex is only for the city? Each couple ventures into a different pocket of the sexual universe, and we get to explore our voyeuristic side in watching them.
