Thursday night's amfAR Inspiration Gala lived up to its name, serving up ample doses of inspired and inspiring threads and not-to-miss moments. Think: The Eagles' cheerleaders, a runway show chock-full of male models in undies, and, the g-l-a-m-o-r-o-u-s Fergie. The night honored Marc Jacobs International and all things fab, featuring a kick-ass performance by the Scissor Sisters, sporty looks from the likes of Tom Ford (oh, and a gigantic marching band that sauntered down the main steps in the middle of the New York Public Library). Plus, with a dress code like "Black Tie Athletic Wear," you better believe there were looks that really opened up the window of interpretation.

Of course, we just had to link up with Scissor Sisters' frontman Jake Shears and the gala's event producer, Josh Wood — we asked them to take party snaps to not only make you feel like you were there, but help you relive the special evening like the VIP that you are. Oh, and if you were going to wear that bow-tied shirt with half shorts/half pants safety-pinned number to your next event, skip it, it's already been done.
