If you fit into the petite category, you know that picking up the perfect, no-tailor-needed jean is pretty much as rare as finding a gossip mag without a Kardashian on it. When it comes to pant-leg trends and us shorties, we usually have to consider ourselves benched (Re: flare, wide-leg, boyfriend, etc.). Either we’re shrunken even further by the style, or totally destroying the fit as a result of a very-necessary hemming.
Petite clothing company Allison Izu has heard our plea. The company, whose motto is “vertically challenged, fashionably advantaged,” designs jeans for women 5’6” and under, hooking up shorter ladies everywhere with styles we never dreamed would work on us. This includes bootcuts, straight legs, skinnies, and even a sweatpant jean (no, we don't mean Pajama Jeans). Short girls can have it all. But we still might need some help to reach that top shelf, please!
