To copy this knot, Northwood suggests to start by rough drying 90% of the hair. Then, spray some Redken Quick Tease on the roots of the hair and then backcomb where the bun will sit. Create a rough ponytail on top of the head and then backcomb the ponytail. Northwood says to not worry about being a bit heavy-handed with your backcombing, as you don't want to have this purposely messy bun looking too perfectly done. When you've gotten the ponytail secured, wrap the end around the top to create a bun and pin it into place. Tug a few pieces of hair our to rough it up a bit more and then finish with Pureology hairspray.
