Preen’s Spring Runway Heels Are Actually Affordable (Thanks, Aldo!)

For many up-and-coming designers, it's enough to worry about how they're getting their clothing onto the runway, never mind what's going on their models' feet. And, if they do have the extra time to work on a full shoe collection, the design, manufacturing, and distribution processes are so different from garments, it's usually not within a new designer's wheelhouse. That's where ALDO RISE comes in.
Teaming up with emerging designers, the massive shoe brand helps outfit the runway shows and actually produces the styles for us consumers. In fact, London-brand Preen was the shoe brand's collab partner for spring 2013. In streamlined, pared-down shapes that are actually realistic for everyday wear (bless those ankle straps and wide heels), these six shoes in three styles are easily the sleekest shoe we've seen from a mall retailer. The prices are a little steep as far as Aldo goes (each will retail for $155), but in terms of Preen, they're a steal. Shop for them this March at Aldo retailers.
