After 60 years, the Academy Awards Clothing building is getting a makeover, and we have to say, we love their new look. Named after the men's apparel manufacturer that sold suits from the first-floor retail space, this oldie is the Fashion District's newest showroom building, and some rad tenants are moving in. Now called the Academy Awards Clothing Showrooms, the 5 story building is being converted from it's former manufacturing and retailing self into showroom space for apparel companies and small offices for industry professionals like Dietch PR, Magnet and Luxe Showroom. In all, 11 showrooms and five offices will occupy the combined 14,000 square feet on the third and fourth floors, but the overall feel is intimate and personal. A sanctuary for small brands and up and comers, this monster of a fashion showroom is a force to be reckoned with. There's still some vacancy, so if you want to take up shop, you better hop to it!
