A Prohibition-Themed Night At The Museum

There's a whole lot of booze flowing in the Bay these days, what with S.F. Cocktail Week going down. And it seems the California Academy of Science is also getting tipsy this Thursday evening when it hosts a prohibition-themed Nightlife soirée. Guests can travel back to the roaring '20s—flapper dresses, feathered headbands, tuxedos, top hats, and all!—with throwback exhibits and lectures dedicated to the alcohol-banned era and live music steeped in nostalgia courtesy of Veronica Klaus and Oggi Beat. The best part: You can learn about (and taste!) a handful of classic drinks that rocked San Francisco in the '20s. Get your tickets fast!
When: Thursday, September 22, 6 p.m to 10 p.m.
Where: California Academy of Science, 55 Music Concourse Drive (Golden Gate Park); 415-379-8000.
Cost: Tickets are $12 ($10 for Academy members). Last entry is 9 p.m.
