We're so proud to tell you about Trans America, R29's new series about the trans experience in 2015. Alec Baldwin is returning to TV in a role that almost feels like a continuation of his 30 Rock character. In a new HBO series, Baldwin will play an NYC major named Joe Byrne, described by Deadline  as "a billionaire real estate developer philanthropist, and celebrated socialite/tabloid fixture, who is unexpectedly rocketed into NYC politics." In other casting news, True Blood's Rutina Wesley will star as a lesbian cop in ABC's new police drama Broad Squad.  Documentarian Albert Maysles, one of the pioneers of the cinéma vérité style, passed away Friday at the age of 88. You can stream two of his films — The Gates and 30 for 30: Muhammad and Larry — on Netflix. In honor of International Women's Day tomorrow, Twitter compiled this roundup of ways in which people are using the social media platform to have active conversations about women's issues all over the world. Watch the first trailer for Showtime's new series Happyish, which stars Steve Coogan as a man whose life is turned upside down after the arrival of a wunderkind boss. It's a bird! It's a plane! It's...the first photos of Melissa Benoist in costume for CBS' new pilot, Supergirl.  Looking for a weekend binge-watch series? Tina Fey's new sitcom, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, is a delight.
