Martha Stewart Tells Gwyneth Paltrow To Goop Herself

Martha Stewart has basically told Gwyneth Paltrow to Goop herself. The doyenne of all things domestic has passed judgment about Paltrow's curatorial lifestyle aspirations in Net-a-Porter's Porter magazine.
"She just needs to be quiet. She’s a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart," Page Six reports Stewart as saying.
Stewart's judgments don't stop there, though. She also weighs in on her "friend" Blake Lively's new lifestyle site, Preserve. Stewart says the actress came to her for advice about the new venture, but she leaves the final word up to her senior vice president Kevin Sharkey. He says, "I don’t get the sense [Lively]'s credible. She’s enthusiastic, but she’s not credible." Way harsh, Tai.

The slam jam continues with Stewart remarking that Sheryl Sandberg's "leaning in" strategy is just a time-waster. "I think being entrepreneurial is something women should strive for, rather than working up the corporate ladder," she advises.
Stewart also blasts Orange Is the New Black, calling out the skills of the series' lead actress. "They could have done that so much better. That girl [Taylor Schilling] is not good enough...I met the real Piper [Kerman]. She was in prison either the same time or after me, and I talked to her about it."
And, while Stewart thinks the penal system lets felons down, she's not inclined to do anything about it. "I’m sorry I have not had the time or the real inclination to help, but right now, there is a huge movement against the penal system," she says.
