We get it: You're busy. We are, too — especially now that we need to be spending all of our free time having adventures outside in the glorious sunshine, margaritas in hand. With all the fun that awaits, who has time for things like complex hairstyling? It's basically the first thing we ditch, in favor of whatever ponytail or braid situation is fastest and most efficient. Unfortunately, though, our go-to quickie looks don't tend to be the most attractive styles in the world. What's a beauty-obsessed girl to do when she's rushing out the door to go live her life?

To solve this dilemma, we asked Aveda hairstylist Austin Call to come up with five hairstyles that can be done in five minutes — or less, depending on how quickly you can weave a braid. The looks that follow are as chic as they are convenient, like an elegant nest of braids and a few upgrades to the classic slicked-back ponytail.
