Our morning commute always requires a few things: our metrocard, a cup of hot coffee and our headphones pumping out our latest playlist (click here to check out what we're listening to). We've always used indiscreet little earbuds, but sometimes when the beats are good, you just want to be able to bump the bass without your seat-mate bumping with you. It might be time, then, to graduate to over-the-ear headphones—and after showing up on the runways for a few seasons now, we're feeling a little more excited about donning a pair ourselves. Retro shapes in candy colors set these babies apart from your grades school's music class handouts, but high-tech gadgetry make your tunes sound as good as these headphones look. So, toss your earbuds and opt for these clunkers instead. Sometimes, bigger is better.
