There's a pretty simple reason why we're fans of the art duo Craig & Karl: They create things that make us smile. Their use of color is playful, not juvenile. It's kooky — and pretty much in the best way possible. And, the new collaboration makes all that quirky charm as plain as the nose on your face. Literally.
Teaming with Le Specs
, the pair of Craig Redman and Karl Maier have created a collection of statement sunnies in colors and shapes not typically used for glasses. The line employs polka dots, stripes, and leopard, clashed together or as-is. Plus, the frames take shapes that are both classic (the round, the Wayfarer) as well as unconventional (the sunny-side-up egg and the squiggly brow).
And, while artful, statement sunnies may have a reputation for costing a pretty penny, we're happy to say these specs all ring in under a Benjamin — priced at $89, to be exact — and will be available at Net-A-Porter, Fivestory New York, Creatures of Comfort, Colette, and Nordstrom this spring.
