Contrary to its deceiving moniker, resort wear can be worn anywhere — no tropical vacation required. (Although, Turks and Caicos does sound awfully nice.) But, even though our daily dressing is largely cold-weather oriented, we've still begun to incorporate these punchy prints into the mix so that our chunky knits and toasty toppers stay fresh for the next couple of months. And, this makes the rad, retro florals from Mother of Pearl's resort '14 collection just what the doctor ordered. Paired with that cherry-red jumper we bought over the holiday-shopping season, this '50s-inspired, flounced skirt adds a spiffy twist (and a burst of color!) to the average sweater-and-skirt combo. Layer an embellished, collared blouse underneath for a cheeky, schoolgirl touch, and slip on a pair of metallic kicks for a casual dinner (or brunch) outfit with heaps of cool-chick appeal.
