Summer sartorial challenge: "I live in little dresses and skirts during the summer, but at 5'10, it can be difficult to find ones long enough to wear to work—or even outside on a breezy day—without raising eyebrows. Marilyn Monroe could pull off a "skirt-astrophe" stylishly, but I'm a big fan of boyshorts for modesty-related purposes!"
Signature summer look: "I'm all about pairing a slouchy, simple tee with a bright or boldly patterned skirt. Casual up top, festive on the bottom. I'm not a huge jewelry girl in general, but one amazing, colorful accessory can go a long way when it comes to punching up your look."
What I love most about my job: "My position at Marie Claire is pretty unique in that I'm able to write, edit, and even do a little market work of my own. I usually spend about half my day working on credits for our trend pages and fashion well stories, and the other half writing for either an upcoming issue or MarieClaire.com. In between, I'm out interviewing new designers and bloggers, or stopping by events after work. It's an interesting balance."
