We're just gonna come out and say it: It's hard to get excited about kale juice. It's just so green. But, thanks to these unique and delicious recipes from Melvin's Juice Box, we're able to rally behind the whole organic, cold press, peeled, and blended kinda thing.

Melvin's Juice Box is small offshoot of Miss Lily's and it just opened a second location in the Dream Hotel Downtown . We caught up with the master chef behind the juicer to get the how-to for two of his top blends. Click through and drink up!

Melvin’s Body Good
makes one 16 oz serving

The Body Good is the mother of all green juices, incorporating swiss chard, collard greens, granny smith apples, and — of course —kale.

Ingredients
2 leaves of kale (Wash and use entire leaf)
2 leaves of collard greens (Wash and use entire leaf)
2 leaves of swiss chard (Wash and use entire leaf)
2 stalks of celery (Wash and use entire stalk)
2 Granny Smith or Golden Delicious apples (Cut into pieces core and all)
1" piece of fresh ginger root (Around 1/10th of a medium-sized root, washed)
1 lemon (cut away the peel)

Put all the ingredients in a juice extractor. Blend it all together, pour from cup to cup, and "stir it up" as Bob Marley would say!

Melvin recommends (and makes only) juices with all organic produce. Give your body a break for the toxins!

Melvin's Sweet and Dandy
The Sweet and Dandy is a healthier, more robust version of the old favorite strawberry-lemon smoothie with a surprising blend of vegetables and pineapple that leads to a sweet finish.

Put all the ingredients in a juice extractor. Blend it all together, pour from cup to cup, and "stir it up" as Bob Marley would say!
