Come 2014, OPI will roll out seven new lacquers inspired by Gwen herself. Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI's Executive VP and Artistic Director, also looked to this year's Met Gala for inspiration, too (read: pink). "With her expertise as a singer, songwriter and designer, who better to collaborate with than Gwen Stefani?" she mused in a press release. "Gwen uses beauty to accessorize her style," she continued. And, frankly, that's one motto we can definitely get behind.
“OPI wanted to create a collection as dramatic, diverse and glamorous as its namesake,” Weiss-Fischmann added. The Gwen Stefani collection will feature a bold red hue, "Over & Over A-Gwen," inspired by Stefani's signature red lip; two semi-matte lacquers that require no topcoat (!!); two glossy crème shades; one glittery hue, and one mirrored finish for the trendy risk-takers out there. The last, called "Push and Shove," will come with a special base coat to transform your nails into mini-compacts. They may not work at well as a real mirror, but hey, it's not our fault you switched bags last minute.
Watch here for more updates as we inch closer, and closer to January 2014. There's bound to be some pretty pictures to feast upon while we wait.
